The Rhododendron Rattery is currently a small scale rattery ran by Sabrina Christ. We prioritize ethical breeding practices, education, and proper husbandry.
About Us
Our Story
The Rhododendron Rattery was formally established in 2020 with the the first litter born in November of that year. We take our responsibilities very seriously and strive to ensure the health, safety and well-being of all our animals.
All animals raised at Rhododendron Rattery receive excellent veterinary care, monthly health checks, and a specially formulated diet. We also vet potential adopters to ensure proper placement and care of our rats with our application and approval process.
Our rats are handled daily from birth to 5 weeks, and those in the breeding program are selected for good health, good temperament and the overall betterment of the line. Despite the rattery's small size, all the hard work, time, and expenses are made worth it by the joy of caring for and raising these amazing animals. There is no feeling as rewarding of seeing our babies meet with their new families.
